My views here reflect my own sense of what I call “reality” and do not necessarily reflect those of what are generally deemed reality as defined by the masses. I'm neither a prophet nor a savior. I'm simply telling a story through the eyes of a rational common man in the hopes that it shines light on the truth in order for you as the reader to make the best decisions regarding yourself and your loved ones.

I like to consider myself a logical person with critical thinking skills. After all, I solve problems as part of my job and I enjoy doing it. Someone once told me that if you don’t fully understand a problem, you will never truly reach a solution. The media tells us that US conservatives have gone from denying that climate change is occurring to finally accepting the reality of climate change but denying that man is the main culprit. I’m not a climate scientist. Hell, I can’t even call myself a pseudo scientist. However, if I see 2 opposing arguments that develop into a political battle I simply try to dig into the details of who stands to benefit from distorting the truth. If a bill is proposed to regulate vehicle emissions and major funding against said bill is from a major oil company, I don’t really need to listen to the political noise polluting the airwaves to decide where to cast my vote. This is not exactly rocket science and I don’t claim to have a unique perspective. Although US presidential elections are a farce, I still shake my head in utter disbelief that the amount of pizzle that some Americans will swallow from presidential candidates simply because of they are left or right.

Methane

Methane is locked in permafrost and under arctic ice. Methane is 20x more potent in terms of greenhouse gases than carbon dioxide. Some scientists have gone as far as to call it a “ ticking time bomb”. So what is a Methane Burp? A methane burp is described as a sudden release of methane that is trapped at the bottoms of oceans as they begin to thaw. More methane released results in warmer temperatures which results in more thawing. Thus there is an endless cycle and results in a feedback loop.  This is not what scares me. What scares me is that there are 10,000 gigatons of methane trapped under the arctic permafrost. The release will only accelerate over time. Methane consumes oxygen and destroys sea life. Some scientists theorized that this has happened before and caused a mass extinction level event. How accepted is this apocalyptic model? Keep in mind that all this occurring while we humans are still obsessing over petty things such as race and religion.

If you've read this far then I think you can connect on some level with what I'm saying. I intend to keep this website updated with news, links, random thoughts and frustrated rants over the status quo and lack of acknowledgement. 

I'd like keep spreading the truth about climate change to make everyone aware of the pending disaster that is bearing down upon all of us. If we keep burying our heads in the sand and portraying our dying planet as a political issue our children will pay the price for stupidity. I personally believe that we cannot stop it now but merely hope to slow it and prepare for interim disasters.
